We know that PS3 games should look as good as new 360 games!!! When we got our first xbox our games looked better than PS2 games! This time around Sony came out a year later with supposedly stronger hardware so the games should look AT LEAST as good.
An idiot wouldn't be saying the PS3 is ahead of the 360. That would be somebody who has listened to everything Sony has said but hasn't had the chance to play either console.
yes I am saying that. I've streamed videos to my 360 and if the resolution of the video is as low as these are, there isn't much discernible differences. you're going to see a lot of video artifacts and you won't be able to make out many textures. I'll move along when I damn well please.
edit: btw computer monitors aren't standard def
although the 360 does upscale, upscaling from such a low resolution isn't going to do jack
so were comparisons to first generation xbox titles and second generation PS2 titles dumb too?

I just went to Best Buy and the electronics guy said they weren't doing this. I was quite disappointed.

That has to be one of the worst previews I've ever seen. It's just way too short for my liking. I can't judge it off of some white pipes and a weird thing moving across the screen.
I'm not nearly that far in the game, but hopefully I don't run into that problem. I guess I'll avoid saving in any cannon rooms!

After preordering Gears of War at GameStop and them not having it the first day, I'll definitely be preorder Halo 3, just as I did Halo 2, at Best Buy.
I suppose that having a harddrive in a game console and a unified online network isn't innovation and that MS just copied it, right? Same thing with a built in network card? Turning the console on and of with the controller? What about the yet to be matched feature of streaming music and video from a PC? All innovations courtesy of MS.
Something a lot of people who don't own Xbox's overlook is the breakaway cable on the controllers. There have been many times at friends houses...
Thanks to the Best Buy employee going on about warranties and reward zone cards he mistakenly didn't scan in Zelda after removing the security device. My friend that was with me just kept saying outside, "let's get out of here before they catch on!" So I got a $50 game for free. No complaints here.
the 50 mb limit has nothing to do with harddrive space. MS put the 50 mb limit on because they wanted any arcade game to be able to fit on the 64 mb memory card.

if you can't afford an HDTV just do what I did. Buy the $40 VGA cable and if you feel your computer monitor is too small, a 20 inch CTR is around $150. Games look much better.

I got a Wii yesterday and have been playing it for hours since. That being said, I haven't sweat once from it and I haven't had an actual exercise session for about 2 months now.
WMV 9 is a HUGE compression. Have you ever ripped a normal DVD into AVI? It's usually around 4 gigs uncompressed in SD resolution.

I don't think the Wii is going to die out. I have a 360 and Wii. All my friends love ogling at my 360 and love to play it, but in reality they need to cash in for the $400 unit. After playing Wii sports, Excite Truck, and Zelda they are all interested in buying the Wii. I highly doubt the Wii will go the way of the Gamecube and with all the exclusives Microsoft has secured the 360 will at least win North America.
